Polish Children's Heartline

To date, has shipped medical supplies and surgical equipment, valued in the millions of dollars which has been donated to or purchased by Polish Children's Heartline, to the Pediatric Units at the Silesian Centers of Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery in Katowice and Zabrze, and the Mothers Hospital in Lodz, Poland, which treat children from all of Poland who have congenital heart defects. Seeing other children with life threatening illnesses, the Polish Children's Heartline extended its support in 1998 to include the pediatric units in the Children's Hospital in Bialystok, Grajewo, Suwalki and Wysokie Mazowieckie.

Answering a Critical Need

Each year, six thousand children are born in Poland with heart defects. This undeserved tragedy can effect any family. The objective of Polish Children's Heartline is to materially support the highly qualified doctors in Poland to promptly diagnose and provide appropriate medical treatment.

Our support enables these doctors to perform the most complicated heart surgery on approximately 2500 children each year with no child being refused treatment at these centers.
